Cassidy never imagined life so raw that it hurt to breathe, think or even know a day without heart palpitations.  What is that anyway and does this so-called happy even exist?  Her world is so heavy with hurt that it’s thick enough to smother her inhales and threaten daily panic attacks with the why’s taking over. But she also knows that dwelling does not run in her blood, and she’s disappointing those still in her life.  So, she finally makes the move to North Carolina A & M at the age of twenty-one to start her college life that should have started three years ago.

She hits the campus hard with two goals, getting her body ready to beat these eighteen-year-old college track stars and trying to feel the void from loss. But then something else happens. That else is six-four, with warm honey eyes captivating enough to unravel her insides leaving her questioning her own sanity.
